The Red Cross is an international humanitarian relief agency, with Red Cross or Red Crescent societies in 187 countries. The basic principle of the organisation is the protection of human life and rights in order to work towards worldwide peace.

UNOPS was established in 1974 as part of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and became an independent organization in 1995.
UNOPS mission is to expand the capacity of the UN system and its partners to implement peacebuilding, humanitarian and development operations that matter for people in need.

O. B. Wiik has for many years supplied UNICEF with Mobile Storage Tents (MSU), also called WiikHall, to UNICEF projects in many countries.



UNHCR's primary purpose is to safeguard the rights and well-being of refugees. In its efforts to achieve this objective, the Office strives to ensure that everyone can exercise the right to seek asylum and find safe refuge in another State, and to return home voluntarily. By assisting refugees to return to their own country or to settle permanently in another country, UNHCR also seeks lasting solutions to their plight..



The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of armed conflict and other situations of violence and to provide them with assistance.

IOM (International organisation for migration) is an intergovernmental organization established in 1951. IOM acts with its partners in the international community to:
Assist in meeting the growing operational challenges of migration management.
Advance understanding of migration issues. Encourage social and economic development through migration.
Uphold the human dignity and well-being of migrants.



The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is the world's largest humanitarian organization, providing assistance without discrimination as to nationality, race, religious beliefs, class or political opinions.

Founded in 1919, the IFRC comprises 187 member Red Cross and Red Crescent National Societies, a secretariat in Geneva and more than 60 delegations strategically located to support activities around the world. There are more societies in formation. The Red Crescent is used in place of the Red Cross in many Islamic countries.


Born in 1961, WFP pursues a vision of the world in which every man, woman and child has access at all times to the food needed for an active and healthy life.
WFP is part of the United Nations system and is voluntarily funded.

The World Food Programme is the world's largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide.Inemergencies, we get food to where it is needed, saving the lives of victims of war, civil conflict and natural disasters. After the cause of an emergency has passed,we use food to help communities rebuild their shattered lives
